VNA is a Ballarat based Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company with over 30 years experience in the industry. We design, create, install and configure effective IT solutions, train our clients in their use and then provide on-going support

Our team prides itself on its ability to solve IT problems, no matter how big or small. We take the time to really listen to you about what your business needs and then come up with the best solution, whether that be configuring the installation of Windows 8 onto your computer system, holding a customised training session for your staff or the development of a responsive website to help you better reach your target audience

Directors

Des Hardy

Des has over 30 years experience in programming, developing websites, teaching VCE Physics, ICT and Mathematics. His qualifications include a Graduate Diploma of Computing, a Bachelor of Applied Science, Diploma of Teaching and a Diploma of Agriculture. Over the years, Des has been a member of various professional organisations, most relevant here, the Australian Computer Society and the Victorian Information Technology Teachers' Association

Pamela Hardy

Pamela Hardy has over 30 years experience in project management and administration, as well as over 10 years experience in Genealogy research. Pamela has managed the publications department for a tertiary institute, the office for the oncological practice at a major hospital and the enterprise activities of a regional private school. Pamela has been using a personal computer snce they were first available in Australia, well before the first release of Windows. She is now happily using Windows 8 on the company computer systems and has a hybrid PC for her personal use; Pamela detaches the keyboard and uses the full powered device as a slate\tablet. She has adeptly steered the course of Visual Net Applications through its three decade history from the start as a data bureau, during which time her experience with devices and applications has enabled her to provide support to numerous clients seeking solutions for hardware and software issues. She is a keen amateur photographer and her Flickr photostream has caught the eye of a few publications who have asked to use an image or two. In pursuit of her family's genealology, Pamela is in constant contact with like minded researchers across the globe and is a member of well known genealogical societies.

History

VNA evolved from Hardy Computing Services (HCS), a family company formed as a data bureau in 1987. Bureau functions were quickly complemented by programming expertise which led to the provision of equipment (hardware and software), network and consulting services, and training. The name and structure change from HCS to VNA in 1998 reflected the expansion of the business including focus on web-related services designed to extend our visual programming efforts

VNA will focus on providing pertinent and timely information, advice, product and help to clients on achieving efficient co-ordination between their strategic position and their operating policy

The management of VNA is dedicated to building strong and lasting relationships with its clients and in forming meaningful alliances with other companies that can assist with issues that affect the local and national business communities

VNA is located in Ballarat, Victoria, within easy physical reach of Melbourne, Central Victoria, Geelong, the Western District, the Wimmera and the Mallee and in electronic reach of the balance of the nation. Remote-access facilities allow maintenance and support of any computer system, anywhere on the Internet
